Will insurance cover my appointment?

No. When providers contract with insurance companies, the insurance companies then decide which services they will and will not cover as well as how much they can charge for these services. Providers have to agree to accept the fees the insurance companies decides to pay regardless if the fees are reasonable. Over time, these fees have continued to decline, forcing providers to see as many patients as they can in the shortest amount of time. That is the reason why most primary care visits are done within 7 – 15 minutes.

In functional medicine, I spend one-on-one time with you, conduct a comprehensive assessment, develop treatment protocols that are personalized for you and educate you. In order to do this, I typically need between 30 and 60 minutes. Unfortunately, most insurance companies did not allow spending extended time with patients and many insurance companies will only cover prescription drugs or surgery.

I am committed to the functional medicine that addresses the root causes of your symptoms with personalized lifestyle and nutritional recommendations.
